Does anyone make a LED spotlight for the car that uses several 1-3 watt
white LED's and operates off of D cells?

I've seen a single 3W Luxeon LED spotlight using D cells at WalMart.
It's handheld,not any automotive mount.

you can also buy 3W Luxeon LED Mag-lite brand flashlights that use 2-4 D
cells.

I've been searching around and these guys appear to make some awesome
flashlights, but not such an awesome web site:

How about 48 LEDs?

It's not a complete "spotlight", but it's the makings for one, FWIW:

The white one runs on 12v (car voltage).

I'm more interested in lumens than LED count.
