hierarchical LVS

Hi!

I would like to know how I can do a hierarchical LVS
in order to check just the connections I have done in the
present layer, not the ones previously done.

that is called macro mode lvs or blackbox lvs.
the way you do it depends on the verification software you use
diva, assura?

for diva it is easy, you check the "macro-cell" in the extract options
form. i think however that you must have df2 pins in your layout for
this to work.
there is also the ivCellType property which you can set on individual
cells as "graphic" for flat extraction and "macro" for macro-block
extraction.

for assura you need to have df2 pins recognized in your lvs rules.
then, you use the ?blackBoxCell switch to specify which cells to
process as macro cell.
