help with SONY KV-21T5R SERVICE MODE

I'm from Bulgaria..
WHAT I ASK FOR --------
I want to get as much information as possible, so please send me any
information on this subject.

I am looking for information on the Sony KV-21T5R Trinitron
Service menu. I am a computer service engineer, so I feel quite at home
making adjustments. I cannot find a service engineer with the TT codes,
as it is apparently an unusual model.

Not all the TV's made by Sony had a software driven service mode until after
1996. If your set was made before then, there is the chance that your set
uses all on board pots, slugs, and trimmer caps. Even with the sets that
have a service mode, there are still a number of adjustments that are done
on board with pots, slugs, and trimmer caps. Going by your model series
"TR", I don't think this one has a service mode as such.

As for any set, if it was working properly when new and now has a problem,
this is due to parts wearing out. In this case, the defective parts should
be changed, rather than messing with the service adjustments. Normally
these adjustments are for the life of the set.
