Help to ID capacitors.

I'm looking for some help in understanding the markings on capacitors in
general.....
For example:
104 = uf (Normal Ceramic Disc type)
N1K63
1NK63
etc.etc.etc....

Please let me know of any webpages that have a good cross reference chart.

Thanks Colin.

Ceramic capacitor values are often given in pF using a system similar
to the resistor colour code - except that the actual numbers are
marked on the capacitor.

Using this system, your "104" capacitor is 1, 0, and four more zeros -
100,000 pF, or 100 nF, or 0.1 uF

A 33 pF capacitor would be marked "330", and a 330 pF capacitor would
be marked "331"

Other markings would indicate tolerance and temperature
characteristics.

10 + 4 zeros pf = 100.000 pf = 0.1uf

Other markings are often for tolerance.

I've found a general capacitor site at

Thanks that link has helped a lot.

Cheers......
