Help: Sony Plasma Displaying Green Noise/Patches

Hi all, I have a brand new Sony PFM-42V1 42" plasma display.

first, anyone know how to get in the service mode? I wanna try to
restore settings to factory defacult.

The problem:

It worked fine for about a day, but now when I plug in the DVD player
to S-vidoe or composite inputs, the picture is shrunken and skewed off
to the side. In addition, there are a lot of flickering green patches
superimposed on top of the image. The dvd player works fine on my
other regular tv.

The plasma displays my VGA input from laptop just fine, and also
displays a PAL source (linksys media adapter) through the s-video just
fine. Again, the dvd player is confirmed to display correctly on
another tv.

Any ideas? the noise/static is mostly green and covers the whole
screen and is superimposed on top of the shrunken picture from the dvd
player.

Also, any one know how to get into the service mode on this plasma
model?

Why do you want to get into the service mode ?

You should be looking to get the display serviced under warranty. DO NOT go
in to the service mode. There are no default settings. Each display, as like
television sets, are set up for individual peak performance using the proper
calibration equipment.

I would suggest calling the authorized service people for your display, and
have it proper serviced. I am assuming it is covered by warranty. Note that
these displays are very expensive to service when out of warranty. If you
have the chance, see if the dealer will sell you an optional extended
warranty, if you don't have one.

Some of those plasma TV's are serviced at the board level or use custom IC's
that won't be sold by Sony, so you'd be better off calling Sony support.

And, getting into Service Menu would not help IMHO,
