Help! SONY KP-46S55 Projection TV has yellow bar 2" on right

Model: SONY KP-46S55
Problem: Picture has developed yellow bar 2" on right side. As a
result, image looks ghosted.

This is a known problem with this model, because I found reference to
it on the following page. (I don't have access to Euras.com so I
can't find the fix!!! I suspect it's either a blown fuse or lose
solder connections on the convergence IC board.)

Does anyone have access to Euras.com so they can tell me what Sony's
recommended fix is? Or does anyone know what the problem might be?

(This cannot be fixed with the normal convergence features via the
remote. Again, this is a problem with this model that is known by
Sony according to the website above).
 
Possible convergence related, have you checked or changed the convergence
output devices? Will this set allow you to do a complete registration
adjustment?? If not address the convergence circuits.

Thanks! I haven't fixed the problem yet but I can make things work
temporarily for about 12 hours or so by lightly tapping on the
convergence board (IC1705).

If you are tapping on the board and it works, look for cold solder connections!!!
