Hi,
I am a newbie trying to work on Cadence Virtuoso Layout and came
across a problem which I am not able to fix.
I thought some of you might be able to help me in this regard.
The following are the steps I had gone through.

Initially I had came across a message when trying to do parasitic
extraction which said "Terminating Execution" due to unavailability
of "ams.env" file and so we had created a blank file with the name
"ams.env" and try to run it again and came across the below problem.

Error: Segmentation Fault

Steps Followed:

1. Started ICFB.
2. Created a small inverter design in Cadence Virtuoso Layout
3. Clicked on Verify --> DRC --> Set Switches --> All -->OK -->OK
DRC completed without anysort of error or warning messages.
4. Clicked on Verify --> Extract --> Set Switches -->
RCParasitics-->OK -->OK
Once clicked on OK, it runs for a couple of seconds and shows the
below
message"

Cellview (Inverter_t1 extracted) from lib (trials_07_11_03) is
saved in the panic file
(/nfs/valhalla/users28/eegrad/kyelamar/Cadence/Virtuoso/layout_trials/Design/trials_07_11_03/Inverter_t1/extracted/layout.cd-)
To recover do:
dbOpenPanicCellView("trials_07_11_03" "Inverter_t1" "extracted")

Cellview (Inverter_t1 layout) from lib (trials_07_11_03) is saved in
the panic file
(/nfs/valhalla/users28/eegrad/kyelamar/Cadence/Virtuoso/layout_trials/Design/trials_07_11_03/Inverter_t1/layout/layout.cd-)
To recover do:
dbOpenPanicCellView("trials_07_11_03" "Inverter_t1" "layout")
All the saved panic files were logged in panic.log in your home
directory

Please look into this and let me know how to fix the same.

Thanks for your help in advance,
Kumar

The odds are you will have to send your data to Cadence so they can
reproduce the crash and fix it. There might be some advice we can give,
but you need to post the portion of the CDS.log that shows the start of
the Diva run through the stack trace that should be at the end.
