help removing ntsc/pal converter

I have tried to remove a ntsc/pal conveter that was modded into my tv
some years ago. It only brought problems (the image became shrunk in
the vertical middle, like lacking voltage) and now I don´t need it
anymore. I want to leave the TV set as it originally was, NTSC
format. I removed all that was obviously not part of the original
system, like the ntsc/pal converter board, all of the little cables
soldered from the modboard to the mainboard, and other parts that were
glued to the mainboard and conected to the mainboard with little
cables as well. The problem is that now the TV doesn't turn on. I
wonder if maybe when a TV is modded with a pal/ntsc converter some
parts of the mainboard are removed or replaced with others (maybe one
of those black batteries i see). If anyone can help please do so I´m
really lost here. I know I haven´t damaged anything though, I was
very carefull when removing everything.

TV is a Sony KV-2074RA, from year 1990 aprox.
the mod (converter) is a module tecnics MTC 4-5/N

If anyone could get me the mainboard diagrams for this TV it would be
a great help as I could check the differences. I've tried to get them
but haven't been granted acces to the technicians databases that hold
them. Thanks.

Black batteries? How do you know the stuff you removed was all installed as
part of the converter? It's entirely likely that some parts were removed
when the converter was installed, though I'm surprised it now won't turn on
at all. Also how do you know the converter was the cause of your image
problems?

I know the stuff I I removed was installed as part of the converter
because it was the converter itself, the button for switching between
pal/ntsc and the cables going from this two to the mainboard, as well
as a pair of capacitors glued onto the board and connected through the
same type of wires to the mainboard. The TV turns on, but nothing is
shown on the screen nor heard. By "black batteries" I meant
capacitors.
