Help please ( Foxtel Box )

Hi I bought one of those AV Wireless Senders from Jcars.

Ok I have Foxtel Digital, when I looked at the back of the Set-top box, I
had a scart plug with my Av leads going into my Video Player.
When I connected the Jcar av Sender unit I got no picture.
So I had to plug the Sender unit straight to the TV.

Then I pluged the Sender unit to the Transmitter unit.

Ok I went downstairs and plugged in the reciever unit.

Ok I got a Picture.
But my question is, how do I set it up so that I don't need the main TV
running upstairs, seems pointless to have 2 TV's running.

I was told to plug the AV sender straight to the back of the Foxtel Set top
box so that I won't need the main TV running.

Ok, but how do I get a signal to my main TV, because the scart plug has only
the one set of AV outlets ?

Does this make sense ?

You'd either need a splitter (can you get splitters for RCA leads without
losing quality?), or use the 2nd SCART ouptut on the foxtle box.. its the
"AV" on, rather than the TV one. It actually breaks out into 6 RCA leads,
instead of 3. 3 are AV in (used with the AV button on the foxtel remote, a
good way to hook up a DVD player in pass-through mode to a single AV TV),
and the other 3 are a duplicate output to the primary AV set, with the
exception that the volume doesnt alter .. ie, you can turn down the foxtel
box's volume by its remote, but it will still be at full volume on this
second set. This is best hooked up to the transmitter (designed for a VCR
hookup). This means even if someone turns down the volume on the primary
set, the 2nd set via the transmitter will still get volume ..

I checked my Foxtel Digital receiver and it has 2 SCART sockets, plus
RCA output sockets (circular metal with a coloured plastic centre). You
should be able to plug your sender directly into those, red+white for
audio, yellow for video.

The other thing to check is that your remote works properly with that
setup. I tried a sender from Tricky Dicky and later found a note saying
that Foxtel Digital remotes will not work with that product -
presumably it uses a non standard encoding and/or clock rate...

Finally, if you have any DECT phones they'll probably stuff up your
pic. I took my sender back the next day.
