Help identify component

Hi All,
I'd use freetradezone, but it's no longer free so must use a better
source , you.

Looking to identify some transistors (?) I have here TO-92 part with the
markings

8053
ALR
8242

pulled another from the pack and find the 8242 is a date code.
Assume the part number is ALR 8053? also assume they are transistor

any help appreciated

Hi Phil,
with his help, identified this to be a 3.095-1.405 coltage comparator with
cmos output.

Don't know why it was in the transistor bin
