Hi,

I have inherited a sony KV-1412UB but it has very thin green l;ines running
across the screen horizontally at approximatley 1cm intervals and the screen
is very bright. Any idea as to how I can fix it?

Cheers
Matt

This is usually caused by a short in the CRT. You can however check the CRT
bias voltages, but it is rare to have CRT driver component failures in this
model.

How do I go about testing the bias voltages and what should they be.
I am a bit of newbie I am afraid. I have tried twiddling things on the CRT
control board and the genera; circuit board and it has imporved the problem
for a short while, but it has regressed.
