True. Garcia died because he lived on Hostess Twinkies.
Garcia's playing sounded like shit when he was smacked up.
Well, now there you're wrong. Seriously. One of the shows
during the last year of his life was a JGB gig in Phoenix. They
played five songs, hauntingly beautiful, when suddenly they left the
stage and finally after about 15 minutes, someone came back to
announce that Jerry was unable to continue (read, too smacked up).
Everybody got a refund, we were all bummed, but I'll never forget
how great Jerry sounded that night.
That particular incident had nothing to do with heroin.
And I'll bet you also believe that nonsense about 5/8/77 never really

is that deadhead codespeak for illegal drugs?
No. For illegal drugs, you need to head down the hall to
alt.fan.lindsay-lohan...

i think in that show jerry's long solo was a little self indulgent,
and fade away lost it for sure way toooooooo long, and they spent
more time moving people back from the stage than playing , and new
york itself just sucked for sure.

Most all musicians are self-indulgent. Being "in the zone" is totally
hedonistic. Any that claim otherwise are probably lying... It's all
about the zone.

Sam Hagar, Mark Knopfler, Joe Satriani, Stanley Jordan, Steve Vai,
Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, David Gilmore..... these guitarist
are far superior to Garcia, and most definitely Sambora.

The only people that would thing Garcia was in their class are
uneducated stoners whose opinion is not even worth the resin in their
pipes.... and the only ones that would think that Sambora was in their
class is closet homsexuals from NJ.

Garcia has been dead 14 years now.... the world IMO is better without
him.... except for the whining pack of leaches that are now without a
guru to follow and worship.

Sambora should be dead.... just like his career.
