Not if you're usingproperly selected Mosfets. They have anti diodes buit-in
(all mosfets do) Be careful of the internal diode rating as they can be
SLOW to turn off and cause problems. IRF makes some with fast anti-diodes.

Hey,

Thanks for the info. If I use a ready made bridge like an
SN754410 there are internal diodes indicated on the data sheet, but the
ap notes show external as well.

Should that thing be able to drive motors w/o additionall diodes?

Is there another ready to use bridge chip that would?
