I just bought a UPS unit for my computer. When I plugged it in to the
only outlet in my unit it shows a faulty ground light when I checked
it with a meter it also shows no ground. This is a multi unit complex
of some age and although the line is grounded at the box it could be
anywhere in the walls. My question is if I sunk a regulation eight foot
copper ground rod outside my window, drilled a hole in the wall and ran
a wire from the ground termanal on the outlet to the ground rod would
that ground it? Thanks much for your help. Tinker
