GRID problem in Virtuoso Layout XL

Hi,

I changed my grid spacing to 0.025 in both x and y directions, but
sometimes I can only stretch a shape, say metal, to a minimum distance
of 0.1 (0.1 is the default grid spacing). Why? and how to avoid such a
problem.

Have you changed
grid spacing
or
grid snap spacing
??

May be you have 'Gravity Controls' on?

Check 'Options->Layout Editor...'
Or just toggle gravity on/off with the bindkey 'g'.
