Hi,

What exactly is GPIO? How are they different from the normal pads?

Thank you for your help.

(G)eneral (P)urpose (I)nput (O)utput.

I guess you would call these "normal" pads.

Hi,

A GPIO is a reconfigurable IO pad. The Pad itself is normal but the
logic bewind makes possible to use this pad for several thing regarding
the current use of the asic. For example,
In test mode the pads are used for test.
In normal mode1, they are used for an I2C inteface,
In normal mode2, they are used for an internal bus extension.
