I am looking for some of that for a project but don't seem to be able to
find a supplier anywhere, short of looking for PC microphones that have it
and stripping does anyone know of a source, metal/plastic/rubber ok.

Thanks!

Hi Jim,

If you need something very quickly before the order from the UK arrives
check the next hardware store. In the lighting section they usually have
several goose necked desk lamps at prices that can even be below what
the goose neck alone would cost.

Once I desperately needed a telescope antenna. So I bought a little
halogen desk lamp for about $15. Took it apart and, whoopdidou, I had
two telescope antennas. Plus a transformer, a bulb and a spare power cord.

Regards, Joerg

You could try a decent musical instrument shop. You know the kind of
place that the musos/bands go to get their gear.
