Hello all,

I'm a student and I want to learn verilog, because all we get at school is
VHDL. Can anyone recommend me a good book about verilog?

thx, Sander Odekerken

One of the best books I've seen for the VHDL->Verilog transition is
"HDL Chip Design" by Douglas J. Smith -- it has VHDL and Verilog examples,
side-by-side, throughout the book. It's not a stand-alone, learn-how-to-
use-Verilog book, but it's a great reference for those who are making
the transition.

Hi Sander,

I recommend the HDL CHIP DESIGN written by Douglas J. Smith. The cover is
blue and has a picture of a ancient "food processor" to process both VHDL &
Verilog to spit out the circuit logic into the chip. It is a very very good
book that I find every one who use verilog especially FPGA user would love
it. It has examples for almost every thing you need. Every page is divided
into 2 columns: one for VHDL and one for Verilog (I did not bother to read
VHDL anyway, :)).

Just my opinion,

Andy.
