"Glued" Parts PowerPCB

I have a part in PowerPCB which is locked down (or "glued").

Attempts to unlock or unglue this part does not seem to work.

Has anyone using PowerPCB (Version 5) encountered this?

It looks like a bug, have you asked PADS about it?

I don't use PowerPCB, but one way to get round this type of problem
which often works is to select the whole design and copy and paste it to
a newly created empty file.

I can't tell from your post what you've done in your attempts to
"unglue" the part, so please don't think I'm insulting you by stating
the obvious. In Version 4.0, I select the component (left click in
the "Select Components" mode), then right click and choose
"Query/Modify..." from the drop-down menu. A dialog box opens,
containing a check box labeled simply "Glued". Un-check it, then click
the "Apply" button. NOW I can move the part. If I don't "Apply" the
un-glued attribute BEFORE trying to move the part, I get erratic
results: either it won't move, or sometimes it gets deleted from the
layer.

Dale,

When you right click on the part, there is a "deselect glue" option in
the menu list.

I thought that by asserting "deselect glue", the part would be
unlocked.

As you have stated, I need to query/modify the part and uncheck the
glue option.

I'm not sure what the deselect glue option does, but now I know it
does unglue parts.

Thanks for the response!
