Hi,

If I'm using geomSize(lay1 -1 downUp) for example, does that mean I
will be sizing lay1 by 1 down (or roughly sizing it by -1) then size
it by 1?

I'm confused with the negative sign.. Can anyone explain it?

Thanks and regards,
Ahmad

Salam Ahmad,

I saw you have posted few questions about Assura these days. I would
have loved to help your but I was busy the past couple of weeks and
I'm doing my hardest to catch up really ...
I have been through your questions and many of them are just well
explained in the Assura documentation. It's really worth looking at
the doc.
The doc is available from the $ASSURAHOME/doc. You could use the
cdnshelp.
There are the docs that might help you:

1. Assura Physical Verification Command Reference
$ASSURAHOME/doc/assuracommandref/assuracommandref.pdf
that's what you need to find information about all the functions you
are asking for: geomSize ... etc. It is a KOF dictionary really.

2. Assura Physical Verification Developer Guide
$ASSURAHOME/doc/assuradev/assuradev.pdf
That's a primer for the deck developers like you

3. CadenceAssura Physical Verification User Guide
$ASSURAHOME/doc/assurauser/assurauser.pdf
That's what everybody uses to know how to set the DRC/LVS/RCX runs ...
etc.

So if you still find problems after this, then you are more than
welcome to back again.
Please take my comments as advice not as instructions :) I'm learning
a lot from the docs and just wanted to share this experience.

Looking forward to e-talk to you soon :)

Regards,
Riad.
