Can your generator handle your entire house + barn load?

If not, you've got to split the loads to be fed from the generator out and
put them in a sub panel.

Where is the service entrance equipment? Barn or house? I'm guessing that
the generator is in the barn and you have 2 - 3/0 conductors plus 3 #10
conductors running between the two. Without knowing where all the pieces
are, and the answer to the first question (above), we don't have enough
information.

using approved transfer equipment - not a "knife switch".

A "knife switch" is not approved for that function. And
the installation should be done by someone qualified.

You run another set of 000 back to the house, run all your power out
to the barn, where you have a LEGAL, PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED transfer
switch installed, and then power the house and barn form there...

simple, really, it is called 'installed to code!'

Whosh... That one wasn't even close: he has no concern for his own
safety, let alone anyone elses!

At this stage Jon qualifies as a serious troll, he knows which buttons
