geEciStop error

i keep on getting the following error while trying to use "select on schematic" saving option from adexl test editor.
once this error happened I can't use calculator any more. restart of the entire cadence process does not help.
"*Error* geEciStop: argument #1 should be a string (type template = "t&") - nil"
any ideas?
I am using IC6.1.5 (v 11)
