has anyone used this seriously as a design tool? it comes with the linux
distro i have, and i've used it for drawing schematics, but not sure if
it's worth taking the time to learn how to use the netlist/spice parts of
the program.

I use it, good enough for my hobby usage, but under Windows.
Never tested the netlist stuff though.
