gain measurement

Hi

I have output buffer that i would like to know the gain.
the average output power is 2dBm and the input differential voltage is
400mVppd.
any idea how to calculate the gain of the buffer?

Yes.

You need to know the value of impedance in which your 1.58mW output is
being developed.

Multiply this value by 0.00158. Take the square root of the result.
This figure will be the r.m.s. output voltage.

Divide this by 141 (the r.m.s. value of 400pp). The answer will be
the voltage gain.
