Function Generator (urgent)

Hi.
I'm looking for a function generator to learn general electronics. I don't
really know much about this equipment yet, and I'm considering an Instek
GFG-8216A that's selling soon on eBay (thus the "urgent"). Any comments on
the appropriateness of this model? Any other recommendations?
Thanks,
Steven

Never heard of that brand.
Consider an el-cheapo kit..it includes a schematic.
A number of kits are crude as all heck, but looking at the schematic,
figuring how it works, and the experience from the assembly may be worth
it.

Never heard of that brand.
Instek is the US brand of Goodwill (Taiwan). It's a popular, good quality
brand.
