Funai F313CB combo vcr/tv

symptoms:
- powers up good video/audio but shuts down after ~10 seconds.
- does not accept / eject tapes, no vcr functions
- vcr load motor attempts to spin in the inject direction

seems the sensors are a common funai problem (tried replacing the
center emitter/sensor) to no effect, but found a reference to a
possibly bad microcontroller. Anyone else seen this on these chassis?

Did you check the mode switch and mechanical alignment?? Many of these may
pop a tooth or two off a gear causing it to be just far enough out of
alignment ??
