This will light a gas flame, candle, paper, anything small and dry.
It\'s a high frequency HV arc. It\'s USB charged, and they claim that
once a year is about right.

Designed in Scotland or something.

Gotta scope one.

I wonder if that could be adapted as an arc starter for a non-tig

LOL! Nice one, Phil. :-D
Seriously, though, if you\'re having trouble striking up a stick, try
putting the rods in a rod oven first. Or if you can\'t justify the
expense of one of those, just run a blowlamp up and down the rod for a
moment before you strike. Pre-heating makes a huge amount of
difference, especially in cold weather.

Trick. You can shorten that link to:

<https://www.amazon.com/SUPRUS-Electric-Windproof-Flameless-Rechargeable/dp/B098WQK4XJ>

The rest are tracking things, back to you, I suspect.

In fact, you can also remove the name:

<https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098WQK4XJ>

which is much shorter and doesn\'t give Amazon information about you when
we open it ;-)

Its a cool lighter, it lights things but it does let off a high pitched
sound that my dog and kids can\'t stand. Its known that as you age your
hearing decreases to high pitched sounds so maybe the designer doesn\'t
hear it but this needs to fixed! I can\'t have my dog going nuts every
time I light a candle. My kids cover their ears and yell at me to turn
it off it gets so high pitched at times!

Amazon is crazy. There is no simple link to a product. Sometimes you
can buy two but sometimes you can\'t. Sometimes you can buy it now and
sometimes it has to go into your cart. DGMS on buying a Whole Foods
product, where they want to strip-search you before accepting an
order.

All I can hear is a hiss. I used to hear 22 KHz, but no more.

I\'d be terrified to have such a thing anywhere near an expensive
computer. A stray attempt to light a cable will likely kill whatever
it\'s connected to.

That\'s not clear; USB pairs, for instance, are transceiver-connected, it can take a LOT of current in the
MOS driver parts (receiver parts are protected by the drivers). SATA (one send pair, one receive pair)
isn\'t usually an unshielded external port. Ethernet is transformer coupled, not gonna take HF or
HV very far. The only reason it\'ll light a cigarette is that the cigarette is very high input
impedance (until it ionizes in a fire). Low-Z stuff needn\'t be bothered.

It\'ll likely at least interrupt your WiFi or Bluetooth devices.

Burn a hole in my car window. I bet someone was testing this device. My plastic window is unbreakable, but there is a burnt 2\" hole when i check it yesterday. No break-in evidence, not sure what he/she was trying to do.
