free verilog software

i am trying to find a site which gives free verilog software so that i
can practice my programming. what is the best software i can download.
please give me the link if u can

I like ModelSim Xilinx Edition. http://www.xilinx.com/ise/mxe2/
Note that ModelSim is just a simulator, it is not a synthesis tool.
If you want to go further and synthesize your code, you can download Xilinx
Webpack from www.xilinx.com and search for webpack.

Have a look at iverilog (www.icarus.com/eda/verilog)
and GPL Cver (http://www.pragmatic-c.com/gpl-cver/) too
