Free Roland XY Plotter

I have a relatively ancient Roland single-pen XY plotter (B-size, or 11" x 17")
that has been sitting in the hangar wrapped in plastic for at least 15 years.
It was at one time the top of the line and is accurate as you can make the pen
line. It uses india-ink pens, and as I recall, you can use a regular KohInOor
pen in the holder. The language is either Roland or HPGL. As I recall, it used
the parallel port and also had an RS-232 interface, but I'm not sure about the
serial port part. It sits flat on a desktop.

When I packed it up it worked perfectly and I believe all the documentation that
came with the unit is still with the unit. I'm not saying that 15 years in a
hot/cold hangar hasn't taken its toll, but you can't beat the price.

It is free with one caveat: You have to pick it up at Grass Valley CA airport
over this weekend. No shipping. If I have to ship it, I'll list it on ebay
come Monday morning and make a few bucks on the deal for the hassle of packaging
it up. Free until then.

I'm headed out right now and won't be back until this afternoon, but if you want
it, or can have one of your friends from the Sacramento area pick it up for you,
email me jim@rstengineering.com and I'll email you back -- first postmark, first
served. Please don't call -- the person answering the phone will have
absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
