Just by the way I did email Hans directly early last week with my
mailing address and he replied and said the IC's were mine. They'll
be very useful for repairs of older sets and a couple, such as the 127
can be used personally. I was wondering why the lack of responses
here, but I'm grateful for the offer myself. <g>

In the future pls try to post in the newsgroup instead of sneaking
around and emailing him directly.. I wouldn't have wasted my time if i
knew they were already taken.. No big loss, but if it were somthing i
actually needed i'd probabally be pretty pissed off..

I will quote Hans' post

"Absolutely free and no takers yet. Last call before I throw
them away.

Hans O wrote:

And he provided an Email address. I specifically followed
instructions. And I also was the first to respond. I see absolutely
no cause for complaint.

I received them this morning and they will be very useful. I'll email
Hans to thank him.

:)

Richie:
I wouldn't call emailing him directly ":sneaking around"..... If he really
wanted the parts I would say that replying to him directly was the smart
thing to do and that he fairly won the prize.
I don't see how one could say that he broke the rules in any way and if
anyone wants to try emailing anyone else directly it is really no one else's
business...... the early bird gets the worm.
If the OP didn't want direct email then he would have posted with a fake
email address.... like yours.

Thank you. Like all good things, someone has to have a hissy fit to
dampen the good spirits I guess. <g> However, I don't consider this
a "prize" just a mutually beneficial arrangement. Hans wanted to find
a home for the parts, I provided a good home, it's just like adopting
a kitten.

I thought he meant first to reply as in first person to reply to this
post.. I guess i didn't read it the same way.. I didnt even think of
sending him email. It's not really a big deal, i just said i'd be
pissed off if it was actually something i wanted and/or needed.. Not
like i'd really be able to do anything about it over the internet, but
i'm sure i'd sit and stew for a few moments :) Stuff like this really
isn't worth loosing any sleep over.. :)

No, and it's "losing". I guess as a collector of rare 78's and movies
and vintage televisions etc. I have developed the habit of making up
my mind quickly and jumping when something comes up.........
