For Phil Allison re 2SC2259

Hi Phil,
My email to you in response cannot be forwarded for some reason so I'm
trying via the newsgroup again.
Thanks for the info re the 2SC2259.
Now, would you happen to know the difference between the 2SC2259 and the
2SC2259G? One of these transistors has failed in my Hitachi HA-4700 Stereo
Amplifier and I need to replace it. The installed transistor is simply
printed 'C2259' with '11G' printed beneath this. I assume this to mean a
2SC2259G but I could well be wrong.
If I couldn't obtain the appropriate replacement, I was considering
combining two separate single NPN's in its place. Hence my need for the
full 2SC2259(G) spec, in order to see if two single transistors might be
combined to match its dual function. The pin arrangement is B, C, E, C, B
in a straight line and there's room on the board to cobble something
together.

Thanks again for your rapid response and Happy New Year!
Neil

** Do NOT email posters - that is VERY bad manners.

** Selected for beta and offset voltages I expect.

** That 11G is probably a batch or date code

** Phone WES Components in Sydney and bloody order one - use your credit
card.

More like Phil's appropriate procedures and etiquette, certainly not mine.
