Theres a quadrotor on the market here called the Parrot. It costs about
$400 and is controlled by an iPhone or iPod Touch via a wifi link with
the view from either of the onboard cameras shown on the screen. There
is also an API for computer control https://projects.ardrone.org/

There is also the Arducopter, an open source quadcopter auto pilot based
surprisingly enough on the Arduino.
