In my home, I have switched some of my incandescent light bulbs to
Fluorescent E-lamps like GE FLE26HT3/2/SW. They apparently work use a
"high frequency or RF magnetic field to create a time varying electric
field which in turn drives a discharge which is very similar to the
discharge in an ordinary fluorescent lamp."
I also have Westinghouse wireless intercoms WHI-4C which work through
the household wiring. I use them to communicate between basement,
first floor, and second floor. They have four frequency settings: 230,
260, 290, 200KHz. I have them set to 260KHz.
Some of intercoms fail to work, which seems to be related to being
plugged onto the same circuit as an E-lamp. When I switch the E-lamp
bulb to an incandescent one the intercom works.
Is there any way to make E-lamps compatible with the wireless
intercoms?
