flash models

Does anyone have a simple flash model (8 bit preferable).
I'm already familiar with the free intel one's - those are just
too friggin complicated to use. Maybe someone could just
cut/paste one (ie. one could just magically fall from the sky)
or point me to a good link???

Rather than pay Denali, I'd rather make one myself and
share it. Which I will if there's no suitable alternative.

Thx in advance,
BB

You can download simulation models from Fujitsu (Spansion), e.g. a 2Mb
FLASH model at:

Go to:

For a list of more devices.

Wow, that exactly what I was looking for. Great!!! And I love your
commentary about top-posting. That really drives home your point
quite well.

I'm working on a mini SoC design that I will eventually post to
opencores. It's a PIC 16C57 w/ SoC architecture (so you can
just design a 16x8 control register interface and map it to one
of the pic register file banks at the upper 16 addresses). One
of the 4 sockets will come populated with flash controller block
and some application starter code. I've already written the
utility to take the intel hex file from MPLAB linker and convert
it to verilog program file "rom.v". So you see you just helped
someone who is also interested in helping others. ; )

Thanks again! Have a great day.

Sounds like a fun project. Good luck.
