Hi:
I have a JVC 27" 27750, circa 1997, stereo, dual tuner/pip, auto scan,
etc...
Over the past year, on an intermitant basis, one or some combination of
the following occur:

1. buzzing on channels 2-6
2. buzzing on channels 7-13
3. picture fuzzyness
4. color smearing on normal 'antenna' channels
5. audio breakup
6. tearing of picture at corners
7. turning tv OFF with remote, TV turns itself back on 2-3 seconds
later. (I hear the relay click off, then click on again)

The audio problems can *sometimes* be helped, but not eliminated by
changing mono-stereo-sap selction....
The video smearing is reminecent of improperly adjusted AGC (when AGC
was manually adjustable)
Audio buzzing makes me think filter cap problem....
All the symptoms (minus the on/off problem) make me think bad solder
joint in the front end some where....but where?
Any techs who have experience with this model/line have any suggestions?
Pointers to excepts from service bulletins citing similar common
problems and associated solutions? (i.e. the famous RCA - CTC 179 tuner
soldering problem....).

Also, have a second signal feed from DISH antenna - problems still occur
when viewing those channels.....the signal from the DISH is run
directly into the 'cable' input of the set.
Any suggestions/pointers greatly appreciated...please CC me on posts to
the newsgroup.
Thanks
John
