Hi,
The connector for the keyboard on my HP Ominbook Xe3 has broken (I think it
was when it was sent off for repair) so I need to find this connector
(specifically FK1P025Y51). I finally tracked it down after a week of
searching, but almost predictably I can't find anywhere that sells it!
I'm sure you're all thinking that the most obvious solution is to send it
back to the repair place and let them worry about it, but technically I
voided the warranty by opening the laptop up in the first place, and the
connector wasn't half as broken before I got my hands on it! Originally I
thought the connection was just loose, so I just pushed it back into place,
which worked for a while, but the problem came back, so I tried to get the
connector out so I could have a look at it. I think you can probably guess
the rest...
If anyone knows an equivalent plug that I could use, that would be just as
good. If you're at all interested, the brochure is online at
http://www.angliac.com/jae/literature/board_to_board.pdf .The section on the
FK1 series is on pg. 88.
Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
