"fix" for corroding copper battery contacts??

My (older) digital camera has a problem with the (now)copper battery contacts,
oxidation/corrosion. They used to be nickel? plated but now are just
bare copper after repeated removal of the green oxidation.
Any ideas on what I could coat them with. Tried the DSE contact Lube/oil,
didnt help.
Perhaps conductive paint??
Will I just have to make the effort, remove them & coat them in solder (will
this work??)

KOPR-SHIELD expensive but the bottle I have has lasted years.

See
http://www.mikeogara.net/tools/electrical-diagnostic/kopr-shield.html
and
http://www.automotive-tools-parts.com/details/Kopr-Shield.html
etc . I got mine from Eastwood here http://www.eastwoodco.com/
or specifically
http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&itemID=1369&keyword=kopr-shield

I have bought a lot of automotive products from Eastwood and so
far they been very quick and reliable and the also seem to get
cheaper fedex freight.
