state diagram(mealy and moore model)
use flip-flop to design circuits(e.g counters)
finite state machine

any books will mention above things?

thanks!

Nick:

My favorite of all time is the one I am rereading a second time:
Digital Designing With Programmable Logic Devices by John W. Carter

ISBN: 0-13-373721-7
I have read a bunch of books on PAL/PLD's and none of them address it
the way this book does.

Be careful though, its pretty expensive, but its worth its weight in
GOLD!!!

Does anyone know any other GOOD books on the subject?
