Hello,
The symptom was: Supply would 'chirp' when
monitor was switched on.
This Monitor had a fault in the horizontal cct.
Replaced the horizontal out (short circuit)
Resoldered umpteen dry joints.
Monitor then powered up. (fixed?)
After displaying a picture for about 5-10 seconds
the picture would collapse in on either side about
3 inches. Focus also went out the window.
The horizontal out (BUH1510) would start to get 'warm' very
quickly.
I never reached for the power switch so quickly in my life!
All drive and pre-drive checked out ok.
Any Ideas would be appreciated
I am starting to think that the Yoke is in trouble?
