The ruledeck will extract the inductor for you. You probably don t
have to modify the ruledeck, you should only make a custom inductor
layout that has what the extraction ruledeck expects. I recommend you
read the divaEXT.rul file.

For the last tsmc version that I know of, dive extraction deck version
1.7, here is how you can make your inductor:
- copy a "standard" tsmc inductor to your library
- make the size and shape modifications you want to the body of the coil
(what is made of a "path" in virtuoso) but leave the terminals as they are.
- in the end, check that:
+ the terminals are still < 20um wide
+ the separation between turns is still <20um
+ the body is still made of metal6
+ the text properties that were there in the beginning are still present.

when you run diva EXTraction on this, it should be recognised.

Another workaround is to have the coil not extracted at all: make a
symbol for it that will netlist as the coil model for your simulator,
and as a short for LVS netlists.
