exporting gds2 into virtuoso

Guest
I recieved a Reticle.gds2 file that I exported into Virtuoso. On
browsing the library manager I see thousands of cells under the library
'Reticle'. How can I combine all these cells? I have already tried
unchecking the 'No Merge' option during streamIn.

Thanks,
Shweta

Well, I guess you edit the top level cell, select all
instances, and Edit->Hierarchy->Flatten. Or am I missing
something?

That's the "keep reference library" option; that it only
to avoid streaming in new copies of cells you already
have. If what you want is to flatten the hierarchy of the
design, there is no way to do that in pipo. You either do
it in icfb, or you write a DRC flow to do it.

Look at the PIPO log. It should tell you the top level cell. Look for the

1. .....

line near the start of the expansion.

All these other cells should be below the top level cell.
