Euro-sensor catches a million frames a second

A sensor which can detect a single photon at a million times a second has been produced by European researchers. The sensor enables the world's first 1024 pixel, photon-resolution, million-frame-per-second CMOS camera. One application is the recording of 'thought' processes travelling along neurons.
