Equipment Overview?

Can anyone recommend a good overview of the major types of electronic
equipment and their functions? For example, I know what a digital
multimeter does and understand most of its functions quite well, and I
know a bit about oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, but as far as
advanced functions or things like scalar network analyzers or signature
analyzers, I have no idea.

If most decent public or college libraries you'll find many good books on
Test & Measuement eqpt.
