Epson C206 PSE Board

I was about to make a power supply for a little project of mine, (I'm a
retired Engineer), it was simply to drive a 12V fan @ 500mA, I was about to
throw away an old Epson stylus color 600 when I thought I might use the
power supply, so I had the board out before it went to the dump.

Questions
1. Does it have a 12V o/p and is it man enough to drive my fan?
2. Do you have any info which might help, especially a circ diag and/or the
pin out connection CN2 ?
TIA,
Regards
Tom

To drive a fan, I get one of those small wall type power supplies for a few
dollars from any of the electronic suppliers. Most of these fans draw about
200 to 500 ma depending on the model and size. Check the label on the fan.
For a 500 ma type fan, I would use about an 800 ma rated supply at the
proper voltage for the fan.

I would think that using a switching power supply from a printer is a bit
over kill to run a fan! You would have to find out, if the supply can be
safely run with a non rated load for it. Some of these supplies are
dedicated for the equipment that it was intended to run.

You wont find a 12V output on the power supply, only 5v & 42v.

1. use a multimeter to find out.
2. see #1.
