Dear All,
For a AD system, Does ENOB depend on SNR or SNDR?
Thanks.

ENOB = (SINAD-1.76)/6.02
What's SNDR?

My advice may be worth what you paid for it.
It depends on both, i.e. noise and distortion. Both are error sources.Dear All,

Dan Dunphy's response is correct. What you are calling SNDR (did yousignal-to-noise

Dan Dunphy's response is correct. What you are calling SNDR (did you
make that up?) should be called SINAD.
SINAD = (signal + noise + distortion) / (noise + distortion) expressed
in dB
Do your papers get published? Does the term remain SNDR in theWhy our team always use SNDR for IEEE papers @@....??
It appears to be a mystery.What is SNDR real mean?

Equation 6 of the above paper defines SNDR. It appears to be 10 log of
the ratio of the signal power divided by the power of everything else.
So, if S represents signal power and E represents everything else
(noise + distortion), then
SINAD = (S + E) / E = (S / E) + 1
SNDR = S / E
So it appears that SINAD = SNDR + 1
