I recently started using the Virtuoso Custom Router 11.0. I've set up a
..rul file with the routing layers, vias, etc. and I am able to get simple
cells to route with no problem. However, it totally ignores my routing
direction rules. I.e., I specify that M2 should be vertical and M3
horizontal in the rule file, but it just routes each of them in both
directions. For small cells this may be ok, but it will definitely lead to
problems on big cells. Any ideas on what I could be missing?
