Energy Star Washers

If a washing machine is energy star qualified, does that mean it will rinse
my clothing less clean? Do I rather want a model that uses a hefty amount of
water?

The machines are supposed to be more efficient, and therefore use less power
and water to do the same job. This has to do with the new EPA regulations,
and the new world standards for energy conservation. The machine must also
meet the UL, CSA, and EC standards to be sold in the first place.
