hello , i have an existing board ( 8 layer smt fineline gerbers and
drill files ) that I no longer have the pcb design file for and wish
to make some more boards ... but I need to edit the silkscreen gerbers
( change in company name and part no and add some text ) and I wish
to remove a few components ( delete pads from top layer and any stray
tracks but do not need to remove the vias etc ) and I have to add
three tracks ....
my old gerber editor doesn't seem to work to well and I don't want to
spend to much for this one job but I need a reliable tool because this
is an expensive board ... so I would appreciate any suggestions for
a reasonable priced gerber editing tool ....
I have used GC-Prevue to view the files ... they make a GC-Prevue PLUS
for $500 which may be able to do the job ( i'm a little confused over
it's capability )
