Hi All,

I am looking for material on how EDA CAD tools are constructed. Can
anyone point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

This question is too nebulous. You might want to be more specific. What
are you trying to do? What type of EDA tools are you interested in? Is it
circuit simulation, digital or analog? Chip level physical design or
circuit board? etc....

Try googling for open source eda. And you will get tons of links to
different eda projects that you can get into.
