I am just getting familiar with Autotrax and have a problem. After
placing several pads, they disappear again when I move the mouse, or
refresh the drawing ('END' key). Am I missing something?

That tends to happen when you have the layer on which you
are placing the pads switched off - they appear until you
redraw the screen, then disappear. Type "S" "T"
(Setup, Toggle Layers) and see if the layers you want are ON.
Turn on Board Layer, Multi-Layer, Top, Bottom, (atleast).

You can find some more on this package at my website:

Problem solved, Multi-Layer was turned off. What benefit brings it to
turn the Multi-Layer off anyway? Could not find explanation in any
docs.
Thanks.
